Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Anambra state to eschew from all forms of rancour that may escalate the volatile political atmosphere in the state that could affect the outcome of the November 6, governorship election.
The NYC in a congratulatory message to the winner of the APC primaries, Sen. Andy Uba signed by its governing board chairman, Dr. Yakubu Shendam appealed to all contenders to rally round the winner in the interest of peace and stability of the party, state and Nigeria at large.
While describing Andy Uba as a development oriented individual who has overtime devoted his time and resources for the betterment of society, urged the youths to support his candidature.
“Andy Uba as a successful business man has consistently used his resources in developing human capital development. This probably explains while he has always been seen as a youth candidate each time he ventures into electoral contest.
“We are confident that he parades the right credentials to steer the affairs of the highly endowed state like Anambra in terms of human and material resources for the over good of all citizens”.
The statement further urged the minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige to put aside personal differences and work for the victory of the party and the state.
